Marc Booth
Chief IP Officer, Acacia Research Corporation

Marc has accumulated more than 17 years of experience in patent analysis and licensing, playing a significant role in fields such as semiconductors, telecoms, consumer electronics, and medical devices. Since joining Acacia in 2006, he has embraced multiple pivotal roles including Vice President of Engineering and Executive Vice President and General Manager from 2013 to 2017. Marc’s visionary leadership has been pivotal in the acquisition and monetization of numerous patent portfolios at Acacia.

Before his distinguished tenure at Acacia, Marc had an extensive career in design and development engineering. He initiated his journey as a master’s fellow at Hughes Aircraft Co Display Systems Division and ascended through leadership roles at eminent organizations like Sony Corporation and Comarco Wireless Technologies.

Marc holds a BS in Physics from the University of California Riverside and an MSEE from the University of Southern California. He is also a devoted member of the Licensing Executives Society and OCTANe, focusing on fostering innovation and supporting start-ups in Southern California.


Raymond Carl
Founder, Chief AI Officer

A seasoned technology leader known for strategic innovation in IT and data management. As the former Chief Data Officer and IT Director at Santander Consumer Bank Nordics, he revitalized the IT infrastructure and pioneered the integration of machine learning into the loan underwriting and pricing process. He also made significant advancements in organizational efficiency and cost reduction through inplementing an offshoring program.

Raymond holds an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (2020) and a Bachelor of Economics from Columbia University (2008). He also earned a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics from Pennsylvania State University (2015) and specialized nanodegrees in Deep Learning (2019) and Natural Language Processing (2020) from Udacity.
